Introduction

As part of the innovative team at Merkle Norge, I had the opportunity to contribute to MiniMerkle, an award-winning project recognized with a silver award in the "AI-Generated Content" category at the ANFO MarTech Awards 2024 in Oslo. This project, developed using Next.js and integrated with OpenAI's API, showcases the transformative potential of AI in campaign production and content creation.

About the Project

MiniMerkle was created to address a key challenge in the marketing world: handling high volumes of campaign briefs with both efficiency and quality. The solution is more than just a tool; it's a production innovation designed to optimize workflows and enable seamless handling of large-scale content requirements.

One of the key functionalities of MiniMerkle was its ability to process a campaign brief in PDF or OTF format. By simply dropping a brief into the tool, it could "solve" the brief by generating best practices for various platforms, sourcing placeholder images, and sketching out an entire campaign. This end-to-end capability significantly accelerated the campaign production process.

Key Achievements

Efficiency: By leveraging AI, MiniMerkle streamlined the process of campaign brief creation, significantly reducing manual effort.

Quality and Volume: The tool not only improved the efficiency of marketing operations but also enhanced the quality and quantity of deliverables.

Scalability and Customization: Built with Tailwind CSS, the system supports theme-like customization for clients. Through JSON configurations, clients can tailor MiniMerkle to become "MiniClient" with specific logos, design elements, and system prompts, allowing for personalized campaign solutions with minimal effort.

Recognition: MiniMerkle's impact was acknowledged with a strong silver award by the jury, who highlighted its revolutionary approach to marketing production.

My Contribution

Joining the project in its later stages, I collaborated with the team to integrate the solution's core functionalities with OpenAI's API, ensuring seamless AI-driven content generation. I also contributed to refining the Next.js framework to enhance the user interface, enabling teams to easily interact with the tool.
